CGGC reaches Cooperation Framework Agreement with Ecuadorian National Electric Authority

On Aug 23, CGGC reached Cooperation Framework Agreement with Ecuador National Power Corporation in Beijing. Vice General Manager Nie Kai signed the agreement on behalf of CGGC.

Located in west of South America, Ecuador is an important developing country of the region. Most of its power supply comes from hydro plants. Ecuador government has planned a large number of hydropower projects along its main rivers and is seeking for strong partners for the 2012 economic development goals.

Before signing of the Agreement, Mr Nie has had negotiations with Ecuadorian Strategic-sectors Minister Jorge Glas and National Electric Authority.

Minister Glas said that Ecuador is improving its power supply coverage and stability through planning of several hydro plants, and hopes CGGC to play a significant role in this regard with its rich managerial experiences and construction strength.
