Boiler installation starts for largest Iraqi Oil/Gas Fired Power Plant

On Sep 15 Baghdad time, the first steel structure of No.1 boiler of the Salah Al-Din 2*630 MW Oil/Gas Fired Power Plant was successfully hoisted and positioned in place, marking the commencement of boiler erection works of the Salah Al-Din power project undertaken by CEEC in Iraq.

Located in Samara, Salah Al-Din province, the power plant is currently Iraq’s largest oil/gas fired power project under construction, with petroleum as main fuel. Two sets of 630 MW sub-critical condensing steam turbine generators and two sets of 2110 T/H oil/gas fired boilers are to be constructed and installed for the project.
