Ecuadorian minister visits Paute-Sopra DORA Hydropower Station

On February 9, Esteban Albornoz, Minister of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy of Ecuador, paid an inspection tour to the Paute-Sopra DORA Hydropower Station, a power project undertaken by CGGC in Ecuador.

The Minister took a careful look at the underground power house, the electromechanical warehouse and the switching station that were under construction. After that, a meeting was held at which CGGC responsible persons made a brief report on the construction progress of the project and the two sides had discussions on the problems the project encountered.

Mr. Albornoz said the construction progress on the whole was smooth and under control, confirming that the Ecuadorian side would create favorable conditions and provide full support for project construction by coordinating interaction and communication among the supervisor, the financial department and the technical personnel. He expressed his hope that the two sides would work close together to build a high-quality hydropower station and create more opportunities of cooperation in other projects.
