Security official looks after residents
Yang Tianhong, a local security official, decided to stay on the job during the Spring Festival.
In charge of the northern part of Zhangjiagang, where many new citizens choose to settle, Yang is always ardent to offer them help with registration information, residence permissions and public safety knowledge.
Yang was hence nicknamed "big brother" by locals.
On Chinese New Year's Eve, Yang and his colleagues patrolled the streets of Zhangjiagang, preventing the residents from lighting fireworks.
"It's my duty to ensure a peaceful and safe holiday," Yang said.
