The site was acquired by Haier from Sanyo as a part of the company's expansion strategy and soon saw the production of electrical products such as refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, freezers, LED TVs, water heaters and microwave ovens.
Haier also implemented its trinity localization strategy, implementing three key areas, localized R&D, manufacturing and marketing.
Inside the manufacturing site, neat rows of factory buildings and focused workers demonstrate Haier's world-class management level. Colorful single-door refrigerators and twin-tub washing machines, rarely seen elsewhere, are displayed in the showroom, featuring a distinctive Southeast Asian style.

"We are more likely to regard it as a Thailand company with localized R&D, manufacturing and marketing rather than a branch of Haier Group," said Yang Xiaolin, president of the company.
