Haier's local market research pays off in Thailand

"After acquiring the refrigerator factory from Sanyo, we found their production line not capable of producing multiple product lines to meet the local residents' needs with no more than five types of products in sale over the years," said Wang Xiaoyan, vice president of Haier Thailand Company.
Since then, Haier has carried out market research to provide products specifically for the local market such as refrigerators with colored panels, washing machines with fragrant wash-up devices equipped and twin-hub washing machines as a practical solution due to instable water pressure of Thailand suburbs.

Besides business development, Haier Thailand also shares a passion for public service and has devoted much in public welfare undertakings, a company representative said. The company has donated to the country's southern flood-hit areas many times, provided material support to local universities and visited orphanages regularly to send children care.
