Maybe in 30 or 50 years the "chunyun" will have another meaning. Now most Chinese rush home during this period to reunite with their families, which is a tradition rooted in Chinese' hearts. When the younger generation becomes the pillar of the society, these open-mined people perhaps will see the holiday as a good opportunity to travel with their families or do something else that they don't have time to do due to tight working schedules. "Reunion" does not necessarily mean having a family dinner together at home any longer.
