5. The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda
As the symbol of old Xi’an, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda is a well preserved ancient building and holy place for Buddhists. It was built in 652 under the direction of the famous monk Xuan Zang, who travelled across India for 18 years and returned with a precious collection of sacred Buddhist texts. It was used to house these Buddhist materials.
