Tips to manage stress when studying abroad

Editor's note: More Chinese students are choosing to study abroad. Overseas students may be more likely to get stressed out especially since family and friends are a long way away. But don't despair, China Daily readers provide some useful ways of coping with stress before it all becomes too overwhelming.

Overseas students should get used to a new environment when going abroad. You shouldn't obsess over your life back home. Constant messages and calls from a loved one could just make you feel very homesick and depressed, and you ultimately want to enjoy your time studying abroad and experience a new culture, not try and live your old life vicariously through a family member or friend.
