Large Medium SmallYishu 8 is presenting the solo photography exhibition Miracle by young Chinese artist Huang Xiaoliang. The post-1980s artist uses only black and white to capture ordinary figures and objects, such as children and willows. But thanks to the use of focus, backlighting and other techniques, these common subjects exude a poetic air and create another world of utopia. Perhaps that is the miracle the artist is trying to present.
