Edible fungi are Sanmenxia's top agricultural export

Sanmenxia Minyang Food Co Ltd. workers pack and check black edible fungi to ensure that the products meet export standards.

The export volume of Sanmenxia Minyang Food Co Ltd – an enterprise in Sanmenxia, Henan province, engaged in processing and exporting edible fungi - reached $ 16.36 million in 2013, a tenfold increase compared to the previous year.

This figure exceeded the total export volume of apples in Sanmenxia – and it also means that edible fungi have become the city's top agricultural export.

Sanmenxia did not begin to export this agricultural product until the establishment of Sanmenxia Minyang Food Co Ltd in 2011, and the company now exports edible fungi to Southeast Asia and American markets.
