Delegation from Agriculture Ministry studies Sanmenxia's fruit industry

Yang Yi, head of the Ministry of Agriculture’s Foreign Economic Cooperation Center, conducted an official visit to the city of Sanmenxia, Central China’s Henan province, to study the development of the city’s fruit industry.

Yang Yi and other delegates praised the city’s achievements in agricultural informatization construction after their visit to the municipal agriculture bureau, where they learned about operations of the agricultural information center, e-commerce center for the special agricultural products, distribution center of agricultural materials, and agricultural products quality and safety tracing service center.

While visiting the city’s well-known fruit enterprises, Yang appreciated the enterprises’ efforts in researching and developing new products so as to extend the industrial chains. In the production bases, Yang encouraged them to drive development in the surrounding areas by cooperating with local farmers.

The delegates also paid attention to the freshness of fruits and vegetables and the development of the apple industry in Lingbao.

Yang Yi gave some instructions regarding the city’s apple industry development, fruit products processing and supporting services system construction during his tour in Sanmenxia.
