Foreign investment in Sanmenxia booms

From January to October, the city of Sanmenxia, in Central China’s Henan province, has attracted foreign contracts of $847.61 million, a year-on-year growth of 67.8 percent, ranking fourth among cities in Henan province, according to Sanmenxia Daily on Dec 9.

During the 10 months, Sanmenxia utilized $799.83 million of overseas investment with a peak in October of $105.97 million. To some extent, the third China Specialty Products Fair running from Oct 8 to 12 helped to create a grand harvest of overseas investment in October.

Leading enterprises in Sanmenxia played a key role in utilizing overseas investment. Among the 25 companies receiving foreign funds, 23 got more than $10 million into their accounts. One company received $100 million in overseas funding.
