The profound history has endowed Zhenze town with many unique cultural customs, among which the "four bowls of tea" serving for the distinguished guests are most famous. The first sugar tea with double eggs in it symbolizes sweet honey; the second one with rice crust in it claims that Emperor Yongle of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) tasted it; the third fragrant tea is served with green beans, dried carrots, white sesame, orange rinds and black dried bean curd since it helps satiate thirst, the host would be happy to see his guests drink it all as it signifies respect for the host; the last green tea is a prelude to the start of the dinner.
