Run! Run to the colorful Sanmenxia

The 4th Color Run weaved through the streets of Sanmenxia's CBD on May 27, igniting a rapturous festive air with a shower of colored powders.

A total of 11,000 participants wearing white T-shirts shared in the excitement of throwing colorful powders at each other before the starting gun was fired.

"This is my third time attending the event," Wang Qiuyu, a 9-year-old runner said, "it's great fun running together and throwing powders at each other."

"Unlike the breathtaking natural scenery seen during last year's event, the vibrant cityscape along the route this year impressed me a lot", said Zhang Liang, who attended the run with his friends.

During the three-kilometer journey, participants started from Minzhu Square, ran along Central Avenue, and then returned to the square via Yingbing Road, doused from head to toe in different colors after each kilometer.

A total of eight tons of powder were sprayed. The powders are made from corn starch and are completely harmless.
