TCM Culture Week opens in Sanmenxia

Strong herbal scents are spreading across Sanmenxia, Henan province as TCM Culture Week is being held from June 13-19.

Hosted by the Health and Family Planning Commission of Sanmenxia, the week-long event will showcase TCM achievements made by the city, promote TCM culture and improve regional health awareness.

Residents will be able to experience the Chinese medicine therapy apparatus first-hand, attend lectures and receive tips on health preservation.

The culture week has been held for two consecutive years. The colorful activities, by popularizing knowledge of disease control and giving scientific guidance on health care, have effectively raised public health consciousness, according to Ren Xiaoyun, director of the Health and Family Planning Commission of Sanmenxia.

Health departments and Chinese medical organizations at all levels were encouraged to take part in the activities in order to promote the splendor and depth of Chinese medicine and longevity culture.
