A Bite of China, a food documentary broadcast on China Central Television, has cooked up a following of supporters following its success in the 10:30 pm slot.
The seven episode show, from May 14 to 22, uncovers the origin of dishes – how they are made, and where the ingredients come from. By showcasing the entire food-making process, it presents a holistic symbiotic relationship between the natural environment and people, elaborating on the cultural and societal changes that make Chinese dishes what they are today.
