SYDNEY - Ricardo Goulart's hat trick led Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande to a 3-2 win over titleholder Western Sydney in the Asian Champions League on Wednesday.
Goulart scored in the 19th minute, and put the visitors ahead for good with his second of the night in the 59th, one minute after Iacopo La Rocca equalized with a header.
Goulart made it 3-1 five minutes later, and Romeo Castalen pulled one back in injury time.
In Seoul, Kim Jin-kyu scored after an hour as FC Seoul beat Kashima Antlers 1-0 in the other Group H match.
Brandon Borrello scored just two minutes in at Saitama Stadium as Brisbane Roar beat Urawa Reds 1-0 to hand the Japanese side its second straight loss in Group G.
Yosuke Kashiwagi lost possession on the edge of the area and Thomas Broich fed Borrello, who beat Urawa goalkeeper Shusaku Nishikawa with an angled drive.
