UN Women and Global Goodwill Ambassadors jointly announced a partnership to organize a fundraising event to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.
With the theme of "Join Hands for Gender Equality", the charitable event will be scheduled to take place at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, on September 12th. It will be the first charitable event hosted in partnership with a Chinese UN office to help promote gender equality.
The Gala will include various performances and an auction of valuable art. The organizing committees will also present appreciation certificates to benefactors and supporters of this endeavor.
"We are excited about the partnership, about the fundraising event and about everything the future will hold for us as leaders of change for women and girls," said Julia Broussard, Country Programme Manager of the UN Women China Office.
This unique initiative and partnership looks to unite entrepreneurs and individuals who share a common goal and purpose in communicating love, hope, and compassion through sustainable fundraising. This initiative also serves as a call to action for people to donate and take a concerted stance to protect women’s rights globally.
Among numerous successful initiatives UN Women has continued to implement their strategic vision to create new opportunities to deepen relations between China and UN Women.
