The world's most famous doll is celebrating her 50th birthday this year.
A year of celebrations has kicked off at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg, Germany, although Barbie's official birthday is not until March 9.

On average, three Barbies are sold each second, which is why the brand is opening its first flagship store in March with a six-story “retailtainment” mecca in Shanghai, China, that also features dining options and a spa.
In Paris, fashion boutique colette will feature a capsule apparel collection by designer Jeremy Scott. Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York will also be part of the celebration.
