The first part of the Forum wrapped up on Sunday, in Wuxi, in the eastern province of Jiangsu.
Some 800 participants took part. They say the values and moral principles upheld by Buddhism teach people to turn away from greed and commercialism.
And they say Buddhism can instill a sense of social responsibility at a time when governments around the world are working to tackle the worst financial crisis in decades.
