3,000 delegates mark Youth Day

May fourth, is Youth Day in China. About three thousand delegates from across the country have attended a gathering in Beijing to mark the day, which is also the 90th anniversary of the "May Fourth Movement."

Top Chinese Communist Party leaders attended Monday morning's meeting.

The "May Fourth Movement" was a mass student movement in China, which began on May Fourth 1919. It spearheaded a national campaign to promote scientific and democratic ideas.
