China's Health Ministry says two suspected cases of A/H1N1 flu in Shanghai and Zhejiang have been confirmed. This brings the total number of cases in the Chinese mainland to 11.
Health authorities say a 30-year-old man who returned to Shanghai from Australia on Saturday is employed by an Australian company there. The case in Zhejiang province involves a 19-year-old male student of Saint John's University in New York who returned on Friday.
Overall, five of the mainland's 11 cases were detected in Beijing, while there has been one each in Shandong, Guangdong, Fujian, Sichuan, and now in Shanghai and Zhejiang. Four of the patients have recovered and are out of hospital.
