With smiles on their faces, and free tickets in their hands,more than 16,000 visitors come to the National Centre for Performing Arts on its second anniversary.There,they get a first hand chance to see performing arts close up.
Today the center is fully open to the public and it's free of charge.The magnificence of the architecture as well as three large art exhibitions and 20 live performances, have all impressed the audience very much so far. The key feature of the event is 'Classics--NCPA's Programs Production'. From various stage photos, delicate stage props, stunning costumes and miniature stage models, people can get a look into the production details of the shows over the past two years. Other exhibitions are presented in charts,multimedia exhibits and pictures,depicting the development of the NCPA from different angles,
Since its opening in December 2007, 2,417 performances have been given by 57,310 artists from 45 countries over the world in the National Centre for Performing Arts. The center has also introduced western culture to China with nearly 4 million Chinese citizens starting their art journey in this new landmark building.
