The 2010 ANN Annual Meeting and Asia Forum co-organized by China Daily and the Asia News Network is now being held at Kempinski Hotel, Beijing.
The forum covers progress on battle against climate change in Asia. It is joined by top Chinese environment officials and their international counterparts, business leaders and chief editors of 21 leading newspapers in 19 Asian countries.
The three-session forum tackling with climate change and low-carbon economy provides a platform to tighten the cooperation among Asian countries and coordinate the roles played by business giants and the media.
The board meeting of the Asia News Network follows on April 9, 2010.
Xie Zhenhua, vice chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, delivered a written speech for the forum.
Dr Zheng Guoguang, minister of China Meteorological Administration; and Suwit Khunkitti, Thai environment minister attended and spoke at the meeting.
The Asia News Network is a network of national daily newspapers published in Asian cities, organized to provide avenues for cooperation and to optimize coverage of major news events in the region. It is supported by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
