Special coverage on "Aniwow! 2010"
"Aniwow! 2010", the 5th China Beijing International Student Animation Festival, is now being held at the Communication University of China with the theme of "High Five". It will last four days till Oct 31.
In the name of animation, young animators from all over the world got together, bringing their sparks of creativity and wisdom, giving each other high-fives to share their enthusiasm.
To inspire students' creativity and young animators' awareness and originality, the festival's traditional awards will be given out, including the White Poplar Award, ASIFA China Award, ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee Prize for Excellent Student Work, and Little White Poplar Award.
A new student competition sponsored by the Beijing education committee, undertaken by the Animation School of the Communication University adds more prizes to its participants this year.
Since 2006, as a stage for young animators to show their presence and to fulfill their dreams, Aniwow has been successfully built and developed. The China Beijing International Student Animation Festival, with its commitment to "Authoritative, Original, Academic and International" work, has attracted growing attention from home and abroad, bringing in animation enthusiasts from five continents, as well as students and amateurs of new media.
