The National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, concluded its 10-day annual session Monday morning.
The meeting adopted resolutions to approve Premier Wen Jiabao's government work report, the 12th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development, the Implementation of the 2010 Plan for National Economic and Social Development and the 2011 Plan for National Economic and Social Development, the Implementation of the Central and Local Budgets for 2010 and the Central and Local Budgets for 2011, the work report of the NPC Standing Committee, the work report of the Supreme People's Court, the work report of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and the decision on accepting Ni Yuefeng's resignation from the NPC Standing Committee.
Wu Bangguo, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, presided over the closing meeting. Chinese President Hu Jintao and other senior leaders were present.
Premier Wen Jiabao met the press right after the closing meeting.
