Old folks enjoy visit from CRES

On the sunny afternoon of Oct 19, 2011, Standard Chartered Bank Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) Leadership Team, a 40-person group from all over the world, and 20 staff members from CRES China visited the elderly at Pudong South Pier Community Old Folks Home.

Andrew Hunter, the group's head, and Randy Cooper, head of CRES China, kicked off the event by addressing the crowd on the importance of respect and care for the elderly. He said he felt fortunate to be able to take this opportunity to give back to society.

During the event, the group celebrated some of the residents' birthdays. They joined a chorus led by the elderly. They played some games like Charades and Bingo and did some team stretching exercises. Everyone had great fun during the activities, and the participants enjoyed a variety of prizes. The home's president and a representative of the residents exchanged gifts with Hunter and Cooper.

Toward the end of the event, Hunter led his team to visit three centenarians and took part in a group-cleaning effort.
