In Washington DC the Bertelsmann Foundation hosted its fourth annual financial conference, featuring an international group of experts on the global economy. With key figures such as IMF chief Christine Lagarde in attendance, the conference addressed a broad range of issues from the global recession to the increasing need to rebalance the global economy.
In an interview with former US Trade Representative Charlene Barshefsky, China Merchants Bank President and CEO Ma Weihua commented on the global recession's lasting effect on the Chinese economy.
