China's swimming prodigy Ye Shiwen broke the women's 400-meter medley world record and won the 200 meter medley title at the London Olympics.
In the first victory, Ye surprised with a 58.68 second time for the last 100 meters, a stunning time that gave rise to allegations of doping from critics, such as the US swimming coach John Leonard.
Leonard was quoted in British media as saying Ye's performances were "unbelievable" and "disturbing".
Zhao Jian, deputy director of the Chinese anti-doping agency, said that the allegation of doping was unfair.
