The Paralympic Games in London from Aug 29 to Sept 9 will host 4,200 athletes from all over the world – 282 of which are Chinese.
The athletes, aged from 15 to 50, including farmers, students, soldiers and self-employed workers from all over China, have different histories of their disabilities yet similar determination to move on.
About half of them are now training in the China Disability Sports Training Center in Beijing under the China Administration of Sports for Persons with Disabilities (CASPD). Built in 2007, it is the world's largest sport facility designed for people with disability.
