India, Russia sign deal on aircraft carrier

NEW DELHI - India and Russia Friday signed deals on the purchase by India of Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov and Mig29K fighters, along with some other defense agreements, said official sources.

The deals were signed during the visit of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin here.

The price of the aircraft carrier was fixed at 2.3 billion US dollars, while the price of some 30 Mig-29K fighters stood at 1.5 billion US dollars, said the sources.
