NEW DELHI - At least 10 people have been killed and 150,000 affected by flash flood in the eastern Indian state of Orissa, also known as Odisha, said local TV channel CNN- IBN Friday.
The state was subject to a powerful cyclone two weeks ago which killed over 20.
Local authorities said the state is now faced with flash flood resulting from the cyclone as over 290 villages are being submerged by water.
Three army helicopters are rescuing villagers from the water and officials are rushing to the spot to carry out relief operation.
