Pu Chengcheng, 36, doctor
Current location: Beijing
Hometown: Zibo, East China's Shandong province
The hospital where I work suggested all employees not leave Beijing during the Spring Festival holiday, as we would need to observe a 21-day quarantine after coming back. This would disrupt our normal work, so I decided not to go back home.
My mother lived with me in Beijing. About two weeks ago, she went back to our hometown in Shandong to accompany my grandmother.
My mother basically understood my decision. However, my grandmother will be disappointed by my absence, as Spring Festival is a precious opportunity for family reunion.
I will spend this New Year's Eve on duty, as well as the first and second day of the first lunar month. Then, on the third day of the Lunar New Year, I will have dinner with my friends.
I plan to go back home around the Worker's Day holiday, when the epidemic subsides.
