It's my first time spending Spring Festival outside Shaanxi, as I am unable to go back. I will particularly miss the mouth-watering diced chicken with green pepper cooked by my father. It is not merely a dish, but reminds me of my father and home.
The year before last I married a lady from Chongqing, so Spring Festival is a rare opportunity for me to reunite with and show filial piety to my parents. It is a pity, but I don't think about it too much, as I am overwhelmed by work.
I am an expectant father, so I must work hard to make money for milk powder.
I thought this year was much easier than when the pandemic broke out last year. When my wife and I were celebrating Lunar New Year's Eve in Shaanxi, the COVID-19 pandemic occurred. We returned to Chongqing, though the Spring Festival holiday was not over yet.
Seeing as the delivery terminal was short of hands, I returned to work the day after the end of my home quarantine.
