Classical music season in Beijing

Beijing Concert Hall has launched its classical music season of the year that will run through December.

Japanese-American violinist Midori Goto and the Philharmonic String Sextet Vienna opened the season on March 31, which will be followed by recitals from artists including Austrian conductor Alexei Kornienko on Friday, French jazz pianist Thomas Enhco on May 6 and London-based classical guitarist Yang Xuefei on May 19.

Other highlights include shows by Italian musicians Brad Repp and Aldo Gentileschi, a cappella concert by Harvard Krokodioes singing group and the recital From Bach to Beatles by Swedish guitarist Goran Sollscher.
