To encourage people to take art home, Artally, an online art shopping platform, and a home furnishing company held an exhibition on June 10 at a design center in Beijing.

The show, Art Life Home, had paintings of eight established artists at Easyhome Design Center. Dozens of works were also displayed in model bedrooms and living rooms.

Artally, a Beijing-based company that runs an art shopping app Buybuyart, provides both the original works and their prints. The prices of the prints range from 99 yuan ($14.5) to hundreds of yuan.

Painter Zeng Jianyong's work Cosplay The Preacher No. 3, which was sold in 2014 for more than 1 million yuan, was displayed at the event. Those who scanned the QR code beside the painting were able to buy a print of the painting online.

According to Jin Jun, the founder of Artally, the online art shopping platform aims to enable the public to enjoy art at home by swiping their finger on a smartphone.

Jin's company works with art colleges in China, museums and art foundations to attract artists to register on his app and sell both original art and prints.

Besides, it also works with decoration companies and hotels across China to display artworks in public spaces, which is another way to educate the public on how to decorate their home with art, according to Jin.
