10. The beauty of power: 90th anniversary of PLA

President Xi Jinping reviewed the armed forces on July 30 as part of the commemorations to mark the 90th founding anniversary of the People's Liberation Army, which fell on Aug 1.

More than 12,000 service personnel from the army, navy, air force and armed police, as well as the newly formed rocket force and strategic support troops, took part in the parade at Zhurihe military training base.

According to reports, the parade, performed by China's various military services including the navy, ground force, air force and rocket force, was of great uniformity and demonstrated perfect discipline. It is seen to have rallied the pride and patriotism of the Chinese people.
