China, the second-largest economy in the world, witnessed 6.9 percent in growth of gross domestic product in 2017, with a better-than-expected growth rate and improved structure.

Guangdong has become the largest GDP contributor on the provincial level for the 29th consecutive year, with a GDP of 8.99 trillion yuan ($1.43 trillion).
