UC Browser, a mobile browser developed by Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd's UCWeb Inc, became the most popular app in the markets involved in the Belt and Road Initiative , a report on mobile analysis said.
Cross-platform sharing app Shareit and Cheetah Mobile's security app Clean Master took the second and third spots, according to the report by App Annie, a US-headquartered mobile analytics company.
Downloads of Chinese apps in the Belt and Road Initiative economies accounted for 55 percent of the total overseas market in 2017, and China's influence is expected to grow in the next few years.
