Kenyans showcase Chinese traditional costumes

"China is an important global power that is worthy associating with and anyone who wants to access their universities and experience the great strides they have achieved, has to learn their language," he said.

Elizabeth Andang'o, a lecturer at KU Department of Music and Dance, thanked the CI leadership for organizing the event, saying it had brought many lessons to the attendants.

"The theme of the event was very interesting. The costumes were wonderful and taught us a lot about the rich Chinese culture," she said.

The Confucius Institute day refers to the festival that was born on September 27, 2014. to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the first CI that was established in South Korea.
