Education expo gathers projects, experts

The fourth China Education Innovation Expo started at the Zhuhai International Convention and Exhibition Center on Monday, showcasing 1,401 innovative projects from China and 27 foreign countries in the field of education.
Held by Beijing Normal University and the China Reform Foundation, the four-day event aims to share educational creativity, provide innovative strategies for the development of China's education and exert influence on the trend of global education via salons, sessions and workshops, attracting over 3,000 government officials, professors and other professionals in education.
At the opening ceremony Cheng Jianping, Party secretary of Beijing Normal University, addressed the crowd, saying the annual exposition has displayed China's experience in the development of education since 2015.
"The expo is a platform which gathers and promotes these educational achievements and fuels all-around cooperation between China and other countries," he said.
Yao Yisheng, mayor of Zhuhai, said he hopes the expo could boost the city to cultivate talented people and create an environment favorable to entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship.
This year's expo presented SERVE — solution, example, rules, values and education — awards to 13 innovative educational projects which feature good values, systematic solutions, successful examples of application and clear rules, and are based on the realities of education.
