Regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Picasso is known for co-founding the Cubist movement and the invention of constructed sculpture.
It’s worth noting that some of the works are being exhibited in Paris for the very first time. For instance, Science and Charity, which is kept at the Picasso Museum in Barcelona, Spain, is one of the most important oil paintings from Picasso’s early days.
At the age of 16, Picasso completed the painting, depicting a hospital visit where a female patient lies on a simple bed, flanked on both sides by church staff and a doctor holding a child. The doctor’s likeness is derived from Picasso's own father.
