2019 Micronesian parliamentary election
Parliamentary elections will be held in the Federated States of Micronesia on March 5, alongside a referendum on calling a Constitutional Convention. All 14 seats in Congress are up for election.
An independence referendum will be held in Chuuk State on the same day.
Following the elections, the president and vice-president are elected by the Congress, with only the four at-large Senators allowed to be candidates.
Federated States of Micronesia consists of four states – Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei and Kosrae spread across the Western Pacific Ocean and the states comprise around 607 islands.
