Over 3,200 exhibitors to take part in biggest-ever Cphl China

The 2019 CPhI China, to be held at Shanghai New International Expo Centre from June 18, together with other healthcare and pharmaceutical exhibitions such as ICSE China, NEX China, P-MEC China, Innopack China, LABWorld China, will help Chinese pharmaceutical and healthcare companies update manufacturing and innovation to become bigger player in the international market, its organizers said on Wednesday.
The three-day event, the biggest ever in scale, initiated by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicine and Health Products and Informa Group, and organized by UBM Sinoexpo, will have an exhibition area of more than 200,000 square meters for the first time, covering all 17 exhibition halls of Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
It is expected to attract more than 3,200 domestic and foreign exhibitors and more than 70,000 industry visitors from home and abroad.
The 2019 CPhI China will have eight major exhibition sections: including pharmaceutical raw materials, fine chemicals and intermediates, pharmaceutical excipients, preparations, bio-pharmaceuticals, natural extracts, veterinary drugs and feeds, which will not only provide a professional and integrated platform for manufacturers of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) to optimize industrial chain layout, but also build an international communication platform for China's pharmaceutical companies to go abroad, said Wu Yushuang, deputy director of the chamber's exhibition department.
For the first time, bioLIVE China will be introduced in the expo. The exhibits will range from biological materials, biological enzymes, recombinant proteins, and blood products to new biological vaccines, therapeutic antibodies, transgenic mouse platforms, antibody technology service platforms, and data system development platforms, to help solve challenges facing pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies in product promotion, technological innovation, process optimization and industrial solutions, which will help accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the Chinese pharmaceutical industry, she said.
The HNC2019, an expo on natural and nutraceutical products, and other food expos together expect to have more than 1,800 exhibitors and over 100,000 professional visitors, with an exhibition area of more than 140,000 square meters, said Xing Cheng, an official with the health and nutrition department of the chamber.
