Khokhar said it is important for the world to share experiences and coordinate policies by various multilateral organizations, like the SCO, with China rising and Russia re-developing, and that the Asia-Pacific region is the new center of global geographical politics and economy.

Sun Zhuangzhi, director of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China

"SCO is crucial to China's diplomacy as it is a beginning of China truly promoting multilateral cooperation and diplomatic practice, and it is also a platform for China, Russia and Central Asian countries to develop effective cooperation," Sun said. It needs some new mechanism to deal with crisis management, particularly with regard to military mutual trust in borders between countries in case of conflicts and confrontations between member states.
