DXY, a leading online healthcare platform in China, announced on Wednesday it has teamed up with major vaccine enterprises, such as MSD, GSK, Sinovac Biotech Ltd and Hualan Biological Engineering, to establish a vaccine service platform.

At present, the platform has launched HPV, influenza and herpes zoster vaccination services. Users can make online reservations and choose the nearest offline clinics or hospitals through the WeChat accounts, apps and mini programs of DXY.

About 100 clinics in 18 cities across the nation have access to the platform and the accumulative number of the reserved vaccines has exceeded 65,000, covering Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Shenyang, Nanjing and Xi'an.

Chu Yang, vice-president of DXY, said the company pays attention to the upstream and downstream development of the entire industry. "DXY won't make profits from the vaccine service platform within the next two years, and won't charge extra fees for both medical institutions and users," Chu added.

DXY plans to improve the vaccination service capacity of private clinics and assist the clinic industry to provide standard and high-quality service by making full use of the existing rich resources and demands from users.

Founded in 2000, DXY has already covered over 2 million Chinese doctors, which is about 70 percent of the doctors nationwide. It provides academic discussion, continuing medical education and job recruitment services for medical professionals.
