Editor's note: "A Love for Dilemma," a family drama focusing on three families' different attitudes toward children's education, has sparked heated online discussions. Despite the government's move to lighten burden of schoolwork, many parents still send their children to attend various after-school training classes in order to get an edge on exams amid fierce competition. Why are Chinese parents stressed about their child's schooling? What is education for? How can a quality education be achieved? Readers share their opinions.

I think sometimes Chinese parents have somehow transferred their own personal aspirations to their children. Thus, the relentless efforts to study very hard, etc... The intentions may be noble but we need to understand that each child's gifts are different from another, even though all siblings come from the same parent. Perhaps what all parents need to do is to nurture and help refine the gifts of each child so that they can realize their fullest potential.
