Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group, also known as Lenovo ISG, a unit of Chinese tech giant Lenovo Group, said it will step up the push to help local companies accelerate an intelligent transformation, as it implements the strategy of "in China, for global".

Wu Bin, vice-president of the China business unit, strategy and operations of Lenovo ISG China, said Lenovo has an edge in providing end-to-end solutions, from the pocket to the data center, the cloud to smart services, and the company aims to promote the concept of "everything is a service".

Lenovo ISG will provide customers with full-stack solutions ranging from traditional IT architecture to private cloud, public cloud and hybrid cloud management in response to the problems faced by customers in intelligent infrastructure architecture, Wu said.

According to him, the company is now working to combine global wisdom with local innovation to help customers improve efficiency and accelerate intelligent transformation.

Global wisdom is embodied in Lenovo's global research and development system and product system, while local innovation is embodied in the company's intelligent made in China product portfolios, which is the result of a local R&D team, Wu added.

On the basis of following global overall norms, Lenovo's dedicated local teams focus on an immediate response from local customers. Lenovo has two mindsets for product development. The first one is an iteration from previous generation products in accordance with the entire technological rhythm, including launching products in cooperation with partners such as Intel, Wu said.

The other one is providing customized products in accordance with customers' needs, which means all the processes, including product design, development and setting crucial timing points, are designed to fully meet customers' needs, Wu added.

"Our local R&D teams have very good ideas and very good methodologies in their professional fields, which will be fed back to the entire global R&D system, thus forming a good cycle, that is, 'in China, for global'," Wu added.
