Chinese authorities launched a guideline on Wednesday to regulate tax evasion and other illegal tax-related behavior in the livestreaming industry for the sector's long-term healthy development.
The new guideline requires livestreaming platforms to report livestreamers' identities, income and profits every six months, and should pay income tax in time.
The guideline was jointly issued by the State Taxation Administration, the Cyberspace Administration of China and the State Administration for Market Regulation.
